I’m Bettina Wan, an Australian Registered Music Therapist and the founder of Healing Voices Music Education & Therapy Centre and the product creator Play & Learn by Healing Voices.

Through my work with children, I’ve seen how music and play can create meaningful opportunities to learn, communicate, move, interact and build confidence.

Play & Learn grew from a simple idea:

How can I turn what I know into practical, playful resources that make learning easier and more enjoyable for children?

Play & Learn wasn’t something I originally planned to build.

When therapy sessions and classes were suspended during COVID, much of my usual work suddenly had to stop.

I found myself wondering:

“How else could I use my skills and knowledge to contribute?”

So I started creating.

I began turning ideas from my professional experience into colourful, easy-to-use learning resources for children, families and professionals.

There was no big business plan. I simply wanted to create something useful.

Children don’t all learn in the same way.

Sometimes a colour, picture, movement, song or game can make something that seems difficult suddenly feel more achievable.

That’s the thinking behind Play & Learn.

From colourful music resources and learning tools to social-emotional resources, I create products that make learning more visual, engaging and accessible.

My background as a Registered Music Therapist continues to shape how I create — thinking not only about what a child can learn, but how we can help them participate, enjoy the experience and feel successful.
